"Those Who Came Before" (2018) is a spec film project for a full-length feature about humanity's future beyond earth. It explores Robin Hanson's concept of The Great Filter and how we must change as a species to overcome it.

The film was a finalist in the ROS Film Festival and a semi-finalist in the annual NIFF, as well as numerous official selections around the world.

The film was lauded for its level of visual effects and artistry on such a small budget (sub $10,000)
